(WGN 07-01-J)  (WGCB CT-01-J) (Covered Bridge Condominiums (WGN 07-01-J) (WGCB CT-01-J) : (1983) A two-span non authentic Stringer truss 44' over Padanaram Brook. Located: In Danbury, Connecticut. Directions: From I-84, exit 6, take SR 37, 1 mile North to Covered Bridge Condominiums on the left (west) side of SR 37 at The bridge is clearly visible from SR 37 on the entrance roadway. Two reinforced concrete slab stringers support the structure with each stringer set on poured concrete abutments with wing walls and a poured concrete center pier. The bridge is painted gray, with vertical, tongue and groove siding covering the exterior and the interior of the sides as well as its portals and the ceiling inside the bridge. There are openings under the eaves. The bridge has a walkway inside on the upstream side. The trim around the vehicle and walkway entrances are painted white. The floor of the two lane bridge has a black asphalt covering over the concrete slab stringers. Its roof is supported by five timber posts along each side as well as between the vehicle lane and the walkway and is covered with gray asphalt shingles. (Sep 2004)
