single-span non authentic Stringer truss footbridge approximately 20' over
a drainage ditch. Located in Comer, Georgia. Directions:
In the town of Comer, Georgia on a side street off SR 22. The newly
constructed structure was spotted on the left side of SR 22 on a side street
on our way to the Watson Mill Covered Bridge
(WGN
10-95-01/10-109-02). The bridge
rests on two steel beams, has a wooden floor and its sides are open.
The portal is covered with unpainted verticle boards and it has a tin
roof. It appeared that the bridge replaced a concrete slab that crossed
the drainage ditch. (Mar 2006) |
