20-11-E) (WGCB MD-11-E): (2005) A single-span non
authentic Stringer truss 59' over a unknown stream. Located: South
east of Bittinger, Bittinger Township, Maryland. Directions: Take
Frank Benneman Road south east from Bittinger to 2141. The bridge is on
a heavily wooded driveway on the right. The structure
rests on stone abutments and there are no wing walls. The
bridge is covered with unpainted, vertical board and batten siding on both
the sides and the portals. There are eight opposing horizontal window
openings on each side. The floor consists of wide crosswise boarding
and a tin roof that projects beyond the entrances to provide additional
weather protection for the interior.
