Kimball Farm Covered Footbridge
 Middlesex County, Massachusetts
(WGN 21-09-m) (WGCB MA-09-m): (1999)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss footbridge 23' 2" over a man made pond.   Located:  In Littleton Township, in Littleton Common, Massachusetts at Kimball Farm at 400 Littleton Road (SR 110).  Directions:  From I-495, Exit 30 take SR 2A/SR 110 2.0 miles to Littleton Common, Massachusetts to the intersection with SR 119, go straight across 0.1 mile on SR 110 (Littleton Road) to Kimball Farm at No. 400 on the right.  The bridge is between the Bumper Boat Rides and the Miniature Golf course , off to the right. The remains of a old sawmill, which collapsed around 1999, are located in the east-southeast downstream corner of the bridge.  The structure is supported by three utility pole stringers, set on poured concrete abutments.  It has a decorative Town lattice truss supporting the roof.   Natural weathered vertical boarding covers the portals and sides to rail height.  There are two opposing horizontal window openings along each side.  Crosswise planking forms the floor and the roof is covered with gray weathered cedar shingles.  There are boardwalks at each end of the bridge.  (Sep 2007)
