2 (WGN 29-03-03) (WGCB NH-03-03): (1837; repaired 1964; rehibilitated 1971) A single-span Town
lattice truss 106' 6' over the Ashuelot River. Located: North of Winchester, New Hampshire on Coombs Mill
Road. Directions: About 4.5 miles north of Winchester, New Hampshire on SR 10 then left on Coombs Mill Road a
half mile to the bridge. Extensive repairs were made 1964. The bridge was rehabilitated in 1971 at a cost of
$13,340. The structure has recently been repaired and is once again in good condition, although restricted to
passenger cars only. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places November 31, 1976. (Sep 2003) |
