Albertson Covered Bridge
Columbia County, Pennsylvania
(WGN 38-19-C)  (WGCB PA-19-C)(1982)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss 40' over a pond inlet.  Located:  North of Orangeville, Pennsylvania beside SR 487.  Directions:  About 3 miles north of Orangeville, Pennsylvania, on the west side of PA 487, just before you enter Fishing Creek Township, Pennsylvania. The bypassed bridge is not in good shape and is currently being used as a storage shed.  It is covered with barn red painted vertical boards on both the portals and sides and a metal roof.  It has a window on both sides that feature a hinged covering.  The structure rests on concrete abutments with concrete pillars on each side at the mid point.  However, the pond inlet is channeled under the bridge via a round metal culvert covered with earth leaving the bridge on dry land.
