King Covered Bridge
Greene County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-30-24)  (WGCB PA-30-24)  (1890)  A single-span, Queenpost truss, 56' 3" over Hoovers Run.  Located:  On King Sister Hill Road (TR 371), approximately 1 mile south of Kuhntown, Wayne Township, Pennsylvania. Directions:  In Kuhntown, Pennsylvania, at the jct. of SR 3013 and Bells Run Road (TR 472), go south on SR 3013 for 1.1 miles to King Sister Hill Road; turn right to the bridge.  The bridge is covered with unpainted random-width vertical board siding.  The roof is covered with sheet metal and the deck with crosswise planking.  The structure rests on cut stone abutments which are extended to form short wing walls slightly higher than the road level.  The bridge has narrow lengthwise openings under the eaves.   There is no evidence of any permanent steel reinforcements.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1979.  (Oct 2005
