Krepps Covered Bridge
Washington County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-63-19)  (WGCB PA-63-19)  (Date built unknown; relocated c. 1952-1958)  A single-span Kingpost truss 29' 11" over Raccoon Creek.  Located:  On Covered Bridge Road, approximately 1 mile southwest of Cherry Valley, Pleasant Township Pennsylvania.  Directions:  In Hickory, Pennsylvania, at the jct. of SR 50 and Wabash Avenue, go north on Wabash Avenue for 0.4 mile to Waterdam Road (SR 4015).  Turn right on Waterdam Road (SR 4015) and go 3.3 miles to the bridge on Covered Bridge Road.  The bridge is just to the left.  It has vertical board siding on both portals and sides, is painted barn red inside and outside.  It also has a sheet metal roof, a deck of crosswise planking, and two rectangular windows on each side in addition to the eave openings.  It is reinforced with treated timber supports that sit in the streambed; otherwise the structure rests on a concrete abutment at the west end and a stone and mortar abutment at the east end which have been extended to form moderate length wing walls that are capped with concrete.  The bridge was moved a short distance sometime in between 1952 and 1958 to allow for the construction of a modern steel and concrete structure that now stands in the original location of the bridge.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1979.  (Oct 2005)
