A single-span Queenpost truss 63' 2" over South Branch of Roaring Creek.
Located: On All Saints Road (TR 459), Columbia County and (TR 462),
Northumberland County, 1 mile north of Bear Gap, Northumberland County,
Pennsylvania. Directions: Approximately 1 mile northwest of
Bear Gap, Pennsylvania at the jct. of SR 54 with SR 2018 (road to the west
at the junction) and All Saints Road (TR 462) (road to the east at the
junction), go east on All Saints Road (TR 462) for 0.7 mile to the bridge.
Built at a cost of $732.00 and named after William Krickbaum, who owned
a grist mill nearby. Its sides are covered with vertical board and
batten siding, and the portals are covered with vertical boards.
The structure rests on a stone and mortar abutment on the Northumberland
County side and a poured concrete abutment on the Columbia County side.
It has stone and mortar wing walls, a sheet metal roof, and deck runners
laid over crosswise planking. The bridge is also known as the Kaeigbaum
Covered Bridge, the Kruegbaum Covered Bridge, in Columbia County
the County No. 34 Covered Bridge and in Northumberland
County the County No. 60 Covered Bridge. It was listed
on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1979. (Apr
