Logan Mill Covered Bridge
Clinton County, Pennsylvania
(WGN 38-18-01) (WGCB PA-18-01):  (1874; 2003 rebuilt)  Single-span Queenpost truss 60' 6" over the Big Fishing Creek.  Located:  On Logan Mills Road, approximately 3 miles northeast of Tylersville, Logan Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:   In Tylersville, Pennsylvania, where SR 880 makes a ninety degree turn, go north on SR 880 for 2.4 miles to Logan Mills Road; turn right (south) on Logan Mills Road and go 0.4 mile to the bridge.  The last remaining covered bridge in Clinton County.  In the summer of 2002 it was removed for rehabilitation.  Rehabilitation was completed in 2003 and it was rededicated December 3, 2003.  The structure rests on cut stone abutments with cut stone wing walls all capped with concrete.  The bridge is covered with barn red painted vertical board and batten siding and its portals are covered with barn red painted horizontal clapboard boarding. The floor consists of wide lengthwise planking and it has a shake roof that projects beyond the entrances to provide additional weather protection for the interior.  Also known as the Logan Mills Covered Bridge.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1979.  (Jun 2009)
