Mommo No. 3 Covered Footbridge

(WGN 38-19-(g )  (WGCB PA-19-(g )(Unknown)  (Private)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss footbridge 10' on dry land.  Located:  On Esther Furnace Road (TR 373), northwest of Slabtown, Cleveland Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  From the Davis Covered Bridge (WGN 38-19-16), continue on Queen City Road (TR 377) for 1 mile to a “T”, turn right for 0.2 mile to Esther Furnace Road; turn right for 0.2 mile to the Esther Furnace Covered Bridge (WGN 38-19-20).  The bridge is on your right just after crossing the Esther Furnace Covered Bridge (WGN 38-19-20) in the side yard to the left of the house at 46 Ester Furnace road.   It is covered with red painted vertical board siding and portals.  Its portals are also trimmed in white.  There are openings under the eaves and a metal roof.  The most unusual feature of this structure is while only 10' long, it is 8' high giving it the appearance of a small guard shack.  The last photo above shows Mommo No. 1 in the foreground, Mommo No 2. in the middle and Mommo No. 3 in the background.  This photo was taken from the entrance to the Esther Furnace Covered Bridge (WGN 38-19-20).   (Apr 2006)
