non authentic Stringer truss 24' over a race. Located: East
of Paradise, Paradise Township, Pennsylvania. Directions: US
30 east 1.2 miles from jct. with Leacock Road in Paradise, Pennsylvania
to the bridge on the south side of the road (West of the township building.)
It was built by Paradise Boy Scout Troop 28. There
is a sign posted on the bridge's portal indicating the name as "Beaver
View Bridge." Its roof is supported by a simulated Queenpost
truss. The structure rests on poured concrete abutments. It
has barn red vertical boarding, trimmed in white, on the sides and portals
and there is one opposing window opening along each side. The floor
consists of crosswise planking and a asphalt shingled roof. Also
known as the Beaver View Covered Bridge. (Jun 2008) |
