Parr's Mill Covered Bridge
Columbia County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-19-29)  (WGCB PA-19-29):   (1865)  A single-span multiple Kingpost with Burr arch truss 84' over North Branch of Roaring Creek.  Located:  On Parr’s Mill Road (TR 328) northwest of Slabtown,  Cleveland Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  From the Esther Furnace Covered Bridge (WGN 38-19-20) , continue through the bridge for 0.4 mile to the jct. with Rider Road (TR 344), bear left on Esther Furnace Road for 0.4 mile to crossroads.  The bridge is straight ahead across the intersection 0.1 mile.  Built at a cost of $1,275.00.  In 1875, Washington Parr purchased the Willow Grove Grist Mill which was located near the bridge.  After this purchase, Parr’s Mill Covered Bridge became its common name.  The Burr arches sandwich a multiple Kingpost truss.  It is covered with vertical board siding on the portals on the east side and with ship lapped siding on the west side.  The bridges roof is sheet metal, and the deck is covered with runners laid over diagonal crosswise planking.  The structure rests on a concrete abutment on the north end and a stone and mortar abutment on the south end.  Also known as the Parr Covered Bridge, the Paar's Mill Covered Bridge and the County No. 10 Covered Bridge.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1979.
