Patterson Covered Bridge
Columbia County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-19-26)  (WGCB PA-19-26)(1845)  A single-span Burr arch truss 82' over Green Creek.  Located:  On Hartman Hollow Road, between Orangeville and Rohrsburg, Orange Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  Approximately 1 mile north of Orangeville, Pennsylvania at the jct. of SR 487 and Rohrsburg Road (SR 4041), go north on Rohrsburg Road (SR 4041) for 1.7 miles to Hartman Hollow Road.  The bridge is just to the left on Hartman Hollow Road.  Built by Frank Deer at a cost of $804.00, it was named after Patterson’s sawmill, which was located nearby.  The bridge is covered with board and batten siding and has a short metal roof.  It has small windows at the east end near the jct. with Rohrsburg Road (SR 4041) and on the west end where the road curves.  The structure rests on stone and mortar abutments, which are reinforced with concrete.  It has short wing walls which are slightly raised above road level, and the deck is covered with runners laid over crosswise planking.  Also known as the Paterson Covered Bridge and the County No. 112 Covered Bridge.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1979.
