Rebuck Covered Bridge
Northumberland County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-49-06 #2)  (WGCB PA-49-06 #2)(1874)  A single-span multiple Kingpost truss 42' 3" over Schwaben Creek.  Located:  On TR 442, just east of Rebuck, Washington Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  In Rebuck, Pennsylvania, at the jct. of SR 3010 and Crissinger Road (TR 426).  The Rebuck Post Office is at this intersection.  Go east on SR 3010 for 0.5 mile to Himmel’s Church.  Turn left on the road past the church (TR 442) and go 0.3 mile to the bridge.  The portals and the sides are covered with wide, barn red vertical boards with white battens.  Only the lower three-fourths of the sides are covered, which leaves a fairly wide, lengthwise opening under the eaves.  The Structure rests on concrete abutments with short, stone and mortar road level wing walls.  It has a sheet metal roof, and the floor is decked with crosswise planks set on edge.  Also known as the Himmel’s Church Covered Bridge and the Himmel Covered Bridge.   It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1979.  (Apr 2006)
