Wagoner's Mill Covered Bridge
 Perry County, Pennsylvania
(WGN 38-50-15)  (WGCB PA-50-15)  (1889)  A single-span Burr arch truss 84' 10" over Bixler’s Run.  Located:  On bypassed section of SR 274, approximately 0.5 mile east of Fort Robinson, Northeast Madison Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  In Fort Robinson, Pennsylvania, at the jct. of SR 274 and SR 850, go east on SR 274/SR 850 for 0.5 mile.  Watch carefully for the bridge on the left side of the road.  The covered bridge can be seen from the concrete bridge which has bypassed it.  The structure rests on stone and mortar abutments with moderate length stone and mortar wing walls that rise to moderate height parapets.  The portals and sides are covered with barn red painted vertical board and batten siding.  The roof is covered with corrugated metal, and the deck consists of lengthwise planking.  The only side openings in the bridge are those under the eaves.  There is a plaque mounted on the portal indicating the bridges name as "Wagoner's  Bridge."  However, when the World Guide Number was assigned it was known as the "Wagoner's Mill Covered Bridge" with a alternate name of the Thompson Covered Bridge.  Also known as the Wagoner Mill Covered Bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 25, 1980.   (Sep 2006)
