non authentic Stringer truss 42' over Motlow Creek. Located:
In Motlow Creek, South Carolina on Stablegate Drive. Directions:
From Campobello, South Carolina, go west on SR 11 to New Cut Road, on the
left just before the Spartanburg/Greenville South Carolina County Line;
go 2.0 miles to Motlow Creek Equestrian Center and Stablegate Drive, on
the right; follow Stablegate Drive 0.2 mile to the bridge. The structure
is supported by concrete slab stringers, set on poured concrete abutments
with short poured concrete wing walls. The two lane bridge has an
asphalt paved roadbed. Its sides have vertical boarding
with battens, up to railing height, and are open, up to vertical tongue
and grooved boarding under the eaves. Vertical tongue and groove
boarding also enclose the gables. Brownish asphalt shingles cover
the roof which has a horse weathervane topped cupola, centered on the peak.
The cupola has glass windows on four sides. Five wood posts along
each side support the steeply peaked roof. The wood surfaces are
blackened from the wood preservative. Also known as the Motlow
