Golden Eagle Resort #2 Covered Footbridge
 Lamoille County, Vermont
(WGN 45-08-m)  (WGCB VT-08-m)  (1999) (Private)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss footbridge 12' over a wet weather stream.  Located:  In Stowe Township, Vermont, north of Stowe, Vermont at Golden Eagle Resort, 511 Mountain Road (SR 108).  Directions:  From Stowe. Vermont take SR 100 north to SR 108 (Mountain Road) on the left, go 0.4 mile on Mountain Road (SR 108) to Golden Eagle Resort at No. 511 on the left.  Inquire at the office for the location of the bridge.  The structure is supported by eight plank stringers, placed on edge on a timber on the ground at each end.  The sides and portals are uncovered.  Crosswise deck boards form the floor.  The roof is covered with dark weathered vertical tongue and groove boarding running from the ridgepole down to the eaves and projects beyond the entrances to provide additional weather protection for the interior.  It is painted white on the exterior and the interior and a wood bench is built into each side of the bridge between the corner posts.  (Sep 2007)
