The neighbors would all gather once a year and produce the syrup as a cooperative effort. "But sadly," she said, "Those days are gone forever!" The footbridge is surrounded by a lawn with, a small pond off the east southeast end. The farmhouse and the barn are downstream from the bridge. It is the shortest covered footbridge in Vermont and in all of New England. Two railroad track stringers set on rocks and cement blocks placed on the ground support the Structure. Longitudinal boarding, with scattered pieces of plywood form the floor. Gray weathered vertical boarding covers the sides and the portal. The bridge has horizontal window opening on both sides. Old weathered wood shingles cover the roof which is supported by a log post in each corner. Also known as the Floyd Fitch Covered
