LaRue Covered Bridge
 Chittendon County, Vermont
(WGN 45-04-C)  (WGCB VT-04-C)  (1982) (Private)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss 59' 3" over the Browns River.  Located:  In Underhill Township, Vermont east of Riverside, Vermont at 128 River Road.  Directions:  From Jericho, Vermont take SR 15 east to River Road on the right in Riverside, Vermont. Follow River Road 1.3 miles to No. 128 on the right.  The bridge is down the long driveway.  Or, from Cambridge, Vermont at the jct. of  SR 15 and SR 104, go south 10.1 miles on SR 15 to River Road on the left.  On private property so request permission to visit.  The structure is supported by two large I-beam stringers set on poured concrete abutments with poured concrete wing walls at the north-northeast end and large poured concrete blocks forming retaining walls at the south-southwest end.  Gray weathered vertical boarding covers the sides and portals open under the eaves for ventilation.  The floor has crosswise planking placed on edge with three lengthwise runners and it has a galvanized steel roof.  When photographed on September 18, 2007, the structure was being renovated.  (Sep 2007)
