Morses Mill Covered Bridge
 Lamoille County, Vermont
(WGN 45-08-I)  (WGCB VT-08-I)  (1988) (Private)  A single-span non authentic Stringer truss 40' 6" over the Brewster River.  Located:  In Cambridge Township, Vermont, in Morses Mill in Vermont Horse Park off SR 108.  Directions:  From Jeffersonville, Vermont at the intersection of SR 15 and SR 108, go south 6.0 miles on SR 108 to Vermont Horse Park on the right across from Smuggler's Notch Resort at No. 4323.  Or, from Stowe at the jct. of SR 100 and SR 108 (Mountain Road), go north 12.5 miles on SR 108 (Mountain Road) to Vermont Horse Park on the left.  The bridge is clearly visible from SR 108 (Mountain Road).  Built in memory of a covered bridge that once stood near the site of the current structure.  It is restricted to horses and pedestrians.  There is a display of old horseshoes and farm hardware inside the bridge.  The structure is supported by two steel I-beam stringers set on poured concrete abutments on piled rocks.   Dark weathered vertical boarding covers the sides, portals and weather panels.  There are two large horizontal window openings with window boxes mounted beneath each opening on each side of the bridge.  The floor consists of longitudinal planking fastened to the steel I-beam and its green painted steel roof projects beyond the entrances to provide additional weather protection for the interior.  (Sep 2007)
