footbridge approximately 8' over a ditch. Located:
South of Wheelock, Vermont off SR 112. Directions: From , I-91,
Exit 24 go north on SR 112 approximately 2 miles to the bridge on the right
at 3435. On private property so request permission to visit.
Dark weathered, vertical boarding covers the portals and sides. There
are two opposing horizontal window openings along each side exposing
a simulated Town lattice truss. There is a wooden approach
ramp with vertical boarding on one side and the bridges floor consists
of lengthwise planking. The wood shake roof and gables project beyond
the entrances providing additional weather protection for the interior.
There are wooden benches on each interior wall. (Sep 2007) |
