footbridge approximately 8' over a tributary of the Barton River.
Located: In Barton Township south of Barton, Vermont off SR 16. Directions:
From exit 25, I-91, Exit 25, take SR 16 south approximately 1 mile to the
bridge on the right beside a private residence. On private property
so request permission to visit. Two wooden stringers support the
deck of crosswise planking. The uncovered white painted diamond shaped
sides and its silver tin roof are supported by six timber posts along each
side. The posts are alternately painted green and white. Also known as the SR 16 Covered Bridge.
