(1984) A single-span non authentic modern Stringer truss footbridge 28' over a wet weather stream. Located: In Reston, Virginia at Northgate Condominium on Northgate Square.
Directions: From SR 7100 (Fairfax County Parkway), go east on SSR
5320 (Sunrise Valley Drive) in Reston, Virginia. Make a left SSR
828 (Wiehle Avenue) then left at light to North Shore Drive. On North
Shore Drive turn left into the Lake Anne Park parking area (11301 North
Shore Drive) and park in the right parking area. Take the paved path to
the right until it intersects (about 30 yards) with another paved path
then make a left on that path a short distance to the bridge. The
bridge is not visible from the roadway or parking lot. It is the
shortest non authentic covered footbridge in Virginia. (Aug 2003) |
