24' 4" over Laurel Creek. Located in Lillydale, West Virginia
on Laurel Creek Road (CR 219-11). Directions: From Indian Creek
Covered Bridge, continue South on US 219 to right on State 122 towards
Greenville, West Virginia. As you come into Greenville, West Virginia
you will make a sharp right onto Laurel Creek Road (CR 219-11). The
bridge is approximately 5 miles down Laurel Creek Road (CR 219-11).
Built at a cost of $365.00 it is the shortest authentic covered bridge
in West Virginia and one of two remaining covered bridges in Monroe County.
It is owned by the state of West Virginia. There is a plaque on the
bridge stating: "S332 - 23/4 - 3.62 C. R. ARNOTT & SONS
BRIDGE NO. 4291 BUILT CIRCA 1911 REHABILITATED 2000." It still carries
motor traffic. Also known as the Lillydale Covered Bridge. It was listed simultaneously with ten other historic bridges in West Virginia on the National Register of Historic Places on June 4, 1981.
